We’re approaching that highly anticipated Christmas
break. I don’t know about you guys, but I am ready! I feel like the semester
has flown by! My online classes are finally finished until January when the
spring semester resumes, my family and I made cinnamon ornaments, and I’ve been
cooking away, trying to get ready for the holidays.
Since this is our last blog post of the semester--we
will resume again in January--I think it is time for another self-evaluation.
We have our 3rd 6 weeks district assessment on Thursday and Friday
and semester exams the following Thursday and Friday. The last two exams will
take place on the last two days of this semester. We’ve been hitting our TEKS
pretty hard, because let’s face it, guys, some of the things that will be on
those exams are pretty hard! I feel like I have worked hard this semester, and
I am sure you feel the same about yourself.
The initial question is: Where do you stand in
regards to knowing what you are supposed to know at this point? To answer this
question, you must consider the following sub-questions: 1) Have you learned
the material we’ve been covering in class? 2) What are your strengths in regard
to the material we’ve been covering in class? 3) What are your weaknesses in
regard to the material we’ve been covering in class? 4) How can you get help
with your weaknesses before the tests? 5) What can you do to make sure you do well
on the exams?
Mrs.Kline I feel that I am exactly where I am supposed to be in the learning process. I feel that i have learned everything I need to know. I feel that my strongest subject is preposition words. I dont realy have any weaknesses in reading. If I do need help I can go to touturing. Study really hard.
ReplyDeleteYes because i remember almost all we did. Our bell wor is what we been learning mostly. My weakness is tes's because I get nervous. I can get help get over my nervous is to try my best. To do my best and take my time.
Deleteyes i have. prepositional phrases are in everyday language. sometimes it can be very confusing. pay a little more attention or ask for help. pay a lot of attention to the questions.
ReplyDeleteyes I have learned.very stong.I dont have any weaknesses.
ReplyDeleteyou can study.
yes i have Mrs.Kline...we are learning about prepostions...if I have a little trouble I will talk to you!I think I will past the exam!!
ReplyDeleteWell i feel like i learned 99% of the stuff you taught me. My strengths are: the greeting of a letter, a good body paragraph, and my complete sentences are getting better. My weakness are: sometimes i don't think things through, and sometimes i think the menu questions are hard. I can get ready for the test by studying more. You can get a good nights sleep and eat a healthy breakfast to do good on the test.
ReplyDeleteI have the things we have been covering in class. I have many strengths. We can get help by coming to you more often for tutoring. You can always pay attention in class, never talk, and never play around in order to get the information needed for a district assessment.
ReplyDeleteI stand confident in someways with what I have learned by this point but there are somethings that I struggle with. I have learned most of the material thats been taught in class but I still got lots of room for improvement. Paying attention in class is a strength and working hard. Remembering what I have learned can be a weakness. I can ask the teacher if I can come in for some tutoring to help me with my weakness.Study hard get plenty of sleep is what I'm going to try to do to make sure I'm ready for the test.
ReplyDeleteI have learned all the stuff we have been doing. One of them is to underline the the main idea in each paraghraph. Then to write out on the side of the paraghraph what it was about. The hardest is preposition words.I have also learned how to prove a answer.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I am where I need to be and know everything I need to know.there's nothing that I am struggling with that I know of but I feel confident that I am going to do good on the semester test.
ReplyDeleteyes I have.I dont have any weaknesses.I will study.I will study to pass my exams.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time watching the commercial that shows hurt and neglected animals. It also has a really sad song that goes along with the sad animal pictures. I think an actress is also in it. I love animals and this commercial makes me want to take in all stray animals. I think the target audience would be anybody who likes animals. Matthew A.

Commericials appeal to specific audiences because they say or give clues. A bandwagon or celebrity are types of techniques they use. The characters can sometimes give clues as to who the targeted audience, such as a cartoon appealing to a kid. However it is not always obvious. Sometimes the commercial is selling the audience something because it has a price within the ad. The ad can also try to persuade the audience using the characters actions to do something.
